Windows Script: Screenscraping
Required knowledge: Visual Basic, .NET
I need a windows xp script. Can use Visual Basic or other language but must run on windows xp. I want to vote for my favorite product online. They allow many votes. So the script must do this when I click the START button:
0. clear cookies
1. visit a URL and click a link.
2. select the right pulldowns. After selecting, the product will appear randomly on first or second page
3. find the product on the right page, then click a link to register.
4. enter email address from a text file of addresses. do not reuse any address. Click submit.
5. Then find the product again on the right page. click the link to vote.
6. Wait a settable min/max random seconds.
7. Repeat steps 0 to 5.
Script should show what it is doing so that I know it is not broken.
The process may vary a little but you get the idea. This is a simple windows script for someone fast. I need it done in 1 day. Use Visual Basic or some program that runs in windows.

Setup AWStats or similar script on Windows serverIf you can get AWStats working, that would be great. Otherwise, an equivalent stats program would be sufficient. Please specify how you can solve this. Remote desktop and FTP access will be given, and funds will be released from GAF escrow as soon as the stats are setup. Password Management Scriptal user, should not be able to see the password field in the database (admin should), but the general user should be able to click a button that copies the password to the clipboard, so it can be pasted into a password box elsewhere.I know that the general user would be able to paste the password into a document and see it, so if you have solution to get the password from the front end to use it to login then that would be great. Please post your suggestions etc |
