USB Digital IO Board + Windows control GUI
Required knowledge: C#, Electronics, Microcontroller, PCB Layout
Create a digital IO board, connected to a PC via USB. The board is driven by an on screen GUI. Tick boxes control output channels and the analog voltage is displayed onscreen. The analog input can be switched between an output connector and a trim pot resistor by the use of a jumper. Board must contain the following. x5 Digital output 0-5V x1 Digital outputs open drain or open collector x4 Digital input x1 Analog input 0-5V Power supply driven via USB bus. Hardware requirements : Atmel or Microchip USB device only, : IO Connectors screw type : microprocessor code loaded via 0.1" pitch SIL connector. : Digital output Open drain/collector 15V,1Amp DC Max tolerant. : Digital output 5V at 20mA : Digital input diode protected ( 0-5V ) : Analog input diode protected ( 0-5V ) : SMT / 0603 / 0805. PCB Layout : Maximum size 50x50mm , x4 M3 mounting holes in each corner. : 2 layer PCB : USB connector to be position in PCB edge center : PCB layout to be neat tidy and professional Items to be provided : Schematic , PCB layout, Gerber, BOM (excel), PDF copies Schematic capture and PCB layout must be in either Altum / Orcad Windows control GUI : C# .Net : Compatible with windows XP, Vista : all source code to be provided : Source code to be clear and ordered ( No monkey jungle code ) : Please view image file provided Documentation : Basic documentation is to be provided. I have tested the board using three of the samples software shown in the manual and the board works good but I do not know software good enough to get this page to work. The hmtl page building software that I'm using will let you associate a JavaScript or a file to a button. I need someone to write a plug-in that I can associate with each button that will make this work as described above. |

Data Acquisition by BobbyRabi33o has essentailly alreadydone this kind of work, could easily do it for that, given its just pulling from past work and experience. And remember, all part cost and PCB fabbing, is covered, and not to be included in the quote. This type of project is very specialized, so i will mark it as 35 days, and then repost, i am not in a hurry, so this could make some nice part time hobby work for someone, even a college student, etc. |

The battery and magnetic head will be off board, not further than 60mm away. Now the fun part- I need this to be as small as physically possible.
