Joomla / CB_subs / FlashChat - Configuration/Modification

Currently I am using a VPS Server with the following application installed and running: Joomla 1.5 FlashChat v5.0.11 CB paid subscription module The winner of this bid must be able to effectively communicate in English. I am located in the Eastern Time zone of the US and will generally be available to communicate with between 9am – 11pm Eastern time. I would prefer to communicate by e-mail or Yahoo Messenger. If you are not familiar with and able to work on this software do not bid on this project. Payment will be made thru Freelancer on completion of work If you would like to log onto the site to view it prior to bidding, message me and I will provide you the site address and a user ID and Password to be able to access the site in a member capacity. The following issues/problems currently exist on the site and must be resolved as soon as possible: Joomla FlashChat v5.0.11 – Some users are now encountering an issue that the PM (private message) function of chat does not appear to work. They are unable to send or receive private messages. The function appears to be working well initially, however at some point, the function seems to disappear. Once the problem is reported, it does not seem to go away. It is not something that affects all users, only a limited few. Users with this problem report they are able to hear the chime letting them know they have a private message but are unable to access it. The private message option does not appear in their drop down menu list of options. Joomla CB Paid Subscription Module Currently there are 5 subscription options available for a user to select from (4 paid options (PayPal), one free 30 trial option). The option chosen should provide for different levels of access to the various options and functions on the site (ie., blogs, chat, forums, profiles, etc.). The following problems are being encountered and need to be corrected: A. Currently when a user signs up for any level of membership, all levels of membership appear to have the same access. This needs to be corrected. I believe this is simply a configuration issue. B. User memberships do not appear to expire. It appears that when a user signs up for any of the options it grants the user that membership, and a non-expiring membership. I believe this is a configuration issue. C. Some users are signing up for membership under the free trial and getting full access, but when they subscribe to a paid option, it immediately restricts their access. Again, I believe this to be a configuration issue. D. An additional subscription option needs to be added to allow for manual payments of all options. E. The current 30 Day free trial membership needs to be changed to a 14 Day free trial (I believe this can should be done by adding a new subscription and unpublishing the existing trial membership so that it does not affect the current users) F. The existing four levels of membership need to be changed/reconfigured to three levels of membership (Silver, Gold, and Platinum) with payment options for monthly, quarterly, or annual membership. Joomla 1.5 On the community home page, for the “My Inbox” function. The number of messages shown indicates a number that I believe is the total number of messages in the system, rather than indicating the number of messages for that user. This should be corrected, and again, I believe this may be a setting, or configuration issue. Review current joomla (joomla, cb_subscriptions and flashchat) configuration to verify optimal settings and configuration ******************* The issues listed above are of immediate concern and need to be resolve fairly soon. Additionally, there are other issues that need to be accomplished. Yes, these issues can be accomplished over a longer period of time, these are not “rush” concerns. Do not include these issues in your bid, yes, if you would like to send a message and list the additional costs for these items that would be appreciated, but DO NOT INCLUDE IN YOUR BID. These items will be paid to you separately as we negotiate them. There is additional and ongoing work that will continue to be available on the site. Joomla FlashChat v5.0.11 – A) Currently, chat is configured to open in a separate window, outside of joomla, because of this, a user with an expired membership is able to access chat by going directly to that page and logging in. This needs to be corrected so that an expired member can not use the chat function. B) The current configuration does not allow profiles to be viewed by using the profile option in chat. Can this be corrected? C) Installation and configuration of Audio/Video Chat module (see http://www.virtualjam.net/addons/ ) Joomla CB Paid Subscription Viewing the main joomla page, member pictures are shown. When mousing over the pictures, the users real name is shown. This should be showing the users “screen name”, not real name. I understand this is a known issue in joomla when using CB Paid Subscriptions. Is there a fix for this issue, if so, it needs to be accomplished. |
