Magento URL rewrite...

Hello,
I'm looking for someone to do a permanent URL re-write in Magento for the sub-categories.
Right now magento works like this...
www.sitename.com/Main-Category/Sub-Category.html
we would like to remove the Main-Category/ from the URL for the current sub-categories and make it function like that for any new created sub-categories.
This is the desired URL:
www.sitename.com/Sub-Category.html
I want someone who has done this before in Magento, so no trial please. If you know how to do it, please let me know. Thanks

URL rewrite out of htaccessto eliminate the .htaccess file to get better speed our of the server. When I try moving the content of the .htaccess file to the virtualhost entry inside the httpd.conf file, it doesn't get provessed.I need someone to simply show me what I am doing wrong. I will provide you with the data from a .htaccess file and a sample virtualhost entry. If you need to know what modules are installed, I can do that as well. I am the system admin for the server. This is a simple fix. |
Magento - Catrgory/other Url Not WorkingHi ,I have upgraded my magento to 1.5 and when i moved the code to new server ,none of my url is working. Guess it seems a small fix like htaccess or url rewrite something. When i ftp the file it doesnt seems to available there.Not sure why. Check my site and place ur bid if u think u can fix it . Magento Url Image Importver for each image. CSV files will be reimported at least every month. If the same external image URL already exists for that product it should not be added it again.Multiple images will be used for products. Both external and locally hosted images will be used for the same product and should display correctly on the product page.
